The online dissolved oxygen sensor CH 232 I can be used with the DO 231 and DO 231 / W dissolved oxygen controllers or with the DO 235 and DO 235 /W dissolved oxygen meters.
It is designed for measurement of the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration at waste water treatment plants (urban and industrial) and is also suitable for industrial water treatment applications and dissolved oxygen monitoring in public waters (rivers, lakes, reservoirs).
It is suitable for immersion mounting in tanks and reservoirs.
It measures the DO concentration from 0 to 20 ppm, compensating automatically the reading for temperature changes in the process and the temperature within the range 0 - 50°C.
The type CH 232 I sensor consists of a PVC housing which carries the oxygen electrode and the temperature sensor at the lower end, while the upper end is equipped with a waterproof 5 pin connector.
A signal preamplifier is located inside the PVC housing, sealed with epoxy resin.
This design allows easy installation, connection with a single cable to the panel instrument and, due to the built-in preamplifier, accurate and noise-free operation, even with a 200 m long cable.
A polarographic Au/Ag cell with built-in temperature sensor and interchangeable membrane module is used for the measurement of the dissolved oxygen concentration.
The CH 232 I dissolved oxygen sensor can be easily calibrated in air, without using any standard solutions and does not need any zero calibration.
The robust construction and the sensor design with a strong 40μ thick membrane and large volume of electrolyte provide reliable operation under severe conditions with minimum maintenance – no need for frequent replacement of the electrolyte and membrane module, no need for frequent recalibration.
The CH 232 I dissolved oxygen sensors - transmitters are available in two housing types:
- The type CH 232 I (standard type) : stem length 94 cm.
- The type CH 232 I / L40 (short type) : stem length 40 cm.
(total length, including the waterproof plastic cover of the electrical connectors)
Both types can be equipped (optional) with the type SCB 32 I cleaning head for automatic electrodes' cleaning (water jet type).
The online dissolved oxygen sensors CH 232 I come with 100 ml of oxygen electrolyte type BF 32a and a 10m long interconnection cable type CL200/10 (different length on request).
